The Importance of Being Earnest - Oscar Wilde
For February our library is doing a list of "book crush" for patrons. I was asked for a list of books I obsess over and here is my first entry with bookmark blurb... The Importance of Being Earnest by Oscar Wilde A droll, eccentric, mad, witty, and engaging play. The ever campy Oscar Wilde weaves a hilarious tale of two women in love with an unknown "Ernest" while throwing shade at Victorian society. It is true that I love this play but I think the adaptation staring Colin Firth and Dame Judi Dench helps fuel by love. I noticed the OPL has 2 other video versions of the play that I intend to watch soon.
