Halloween won't be the same this year but pumpkin carving will still be here. We picked up our pumpkins for the Halloween party tomorrow...

Today was LOOOOOONG and I am exhausted... Thank goodness Stroopwafels are back. I'm already in my pj's :)

NO!!!! Not Mark L...he's the best 💔💔💔 His showstopper was the cutest and most Japanese-y (although Laura's was also to die for) Le sigh...  

I had Hallmark playing in the background. I walked back into my room and thought, "Is that Schitt's Creek, I didn't think I was watching that." But then I realized it was just Mutt's voice I was hearing 😆😆😆  Christmas Town was a great little show and I'll go with 4-4.5 for Hallmark and would rewatch. I LOVE Mutt. I call Candace the worshiper for obvious reasons. I really do think she is a good actor and seems to be a nice person and easily the best or top 3 main actors on Hallmark. (I just don't like homophobia and misogyny and the always hidden racism in fundamental religions...and how far away from Kirk's can she really be??). My SO said this movie is the continuation of Schitt's Creek and how Mutt recovers from Alexis by turning into the opposite of her 😂😂😂Obviously Mutt is an excellent actor and great in this movie.

 Why would you spend a cold evening any other way???

I can't explain why I like Holiday Date but I just do. For sure a 4.5 star for Hallmark and I have already rewatched it ;) I really like the main star of this movie. She is one of my favorite hallmark-ers. Diversity low.

Four years ago I took my only daughter to vote for the first time ever for a woman president. Today I continued the tradition of taking my daughter to vote (drop off our family ballots) for the second time in my life for a woman in the presidency. We decided to add a trip to starbucks as part of the tradition. See in you in four years hopefully voting for a smart, dedicated WOC who cares about the environment and people. God speed Kamala... PS - we like Biden ;) He's no Elizabeth Warren but he can win so GO BIDEN!

I've only seen these actors on Hallmark. Chateau Christmas...I'm going with 2.5 for Hallmark on no on rewatch. 2020 movie and I am loving Hallmark being more "real" even with the overdone romance on newer movies. Characters are better that way and you even hear them say you can have your music career and a family. Chemistry is pretty bad.

I watch a LOT of Hallmark movies so I thought it might be fun to keep track... Christmas in Rome was a 2019 Hallmark movie. I'm going to go with a 4 star for Hallmark and probably not a rewatch (although its never hard to watch Richard from the Bold Type). Why a 4...story plays out very naturally. You actually hear the words "we just met" when describing the possible problems with the relationship. Characters seem more realistic when they recognize reality :) Chemisty is ok. And he gives up his job for her. There is of course one moment when it is proclaimed that if they can't even spend Christmas together how can it work but it is a christmas movies so I guess the over emphasis on christmas is to be expected. But for a Hallmark movie it is more grounded than most while still being sappy.

2020 is the worst year ever but even 2020 couldn't take away the first snow...

Everything is different this year. The rec center held a great drive thru Halloween event with treats and craft all while staying in completely in your car. It was long and crowded but fun...

Teenagers are spreading covid-19 like crazy but teenagers still need friends and birthdays. We took advantage of prime day and for Seth's birthday we had (all backyard) In-N-Out, ice cream/cream puff and Super Mario Bros.  

A bar in my closet broke because it had too much weight. I was able to fix it but it couldn't hold that much weight anymore. So the closet needed a whole rework. John and I spent Sat morning getting rid of a ton of stuff that needed to go. Then we moved the drawers into the closet. I spent the rest of the day organizing and purging the rest of the closet. It looks so good and there is so much room.

A cop shooting started the Range Fire that burned Timp and Provo Canyon. Could anything be more 2020 than that? We watched the fire from the roof...

 Another covid-19 birthday. Thankfully this was declared her best birthday ever. Got to see Goldie, Tillie and Hermione at the park with cream puffs. Then an ice cream party with the Barkers. Chicken Cordon Blu for dinner. Gifts from grandparents and the VR headset got here on her birthday.

 This is my shelving area for now...looks beautiful after I went through and straightened and checked it :)

Today I pulled out the first of two electric blankets...the small one :) It is time to get cozy.  

This was truly entertaining... All the different shelves for the different library's books that are returned here instead.

 

    Even though it was a rough Red River game I still put my pumpkin cookies on my Longhorn tray. We had a great night with the Hasslers, Hubers and LeMonniers...

I just need easy access to Hallmark and Hallmark-ish movies to keep me emotionally neutral and bored so. And it's time for cheesy christmas movies.

Lately we have been meeting outside at Starbucks to catch up but finally Deb and I started walking again in the canyon. There were too many people but it was a gorgeous afternoon...

 Quadruple overtime for the Red River Rivalry this year... In order to get my signal I tried to sit in the bathroom which is as close to the router I can get but when that didn't work I moved to the Barker porch...

After two months of pulls at the library I finally had a day where I found ALL of the junior non-fiction pull requests! I have been comparing junior non-fiction to the target shoe section...it's the wild, wild west. Nothing is where it is suppose to be...

 I had a day at the library...!! I forgot my library badge/ID at home :/ I was literally pulling up the pull list and something strange happened. The electricity in the library flickered, the computers all frozen and even the emergency doors at the main reference area slammed shut. Here's the problem, I was in the middle of doing the pull list and once you've pulled up the pulled list you cannot lose it or it disappears till the next morning (the list repopulates overnight for some reason). It is some strange quirk in the software so I was pretty anxious when it happened. Everyone started trying to restart the computers and library check out areas and I told them to stay away from my computer and that I was hoping it would just unfreeze. After about 10 minutes everything came back online and I was able to get the pull list...phew. So I was already behind with the pull list computer situation. This was a perfect pull for today. I spend the afternoon walking with a friend who decided to follow truth and move forward. Like the two swords left behind, we have both left behind the mindfuck.
